Black Trans Lives Matter Too! In Honor of Black Queer History, Please Watch “Paris Is Burning!”

My heart is simply tired. Another video - this time, a mob of black folks beating a trans black woman.

I can’t believe I have to say this today, but All Black Lives Matter. Not just straight black lives. Not just Cis- black lives.

In honor of the indomitable spirit of our trans brothers and sisters, I would urge you to go to Netflix and watch the seminal documentary “Paris is Burning.” I want you to then watch the FX series “Pose” which features trans actors, actresses show runners and directors.

We have to do better. We have to be better.

Above all, we have to learn to love each other before we can heal.
