I am a former diplomat who started “The Trendy Diplomat” website to keep in touch with family and friends as my husband and I traversed the world. This was particularly important during the (ongoing?) pandemic where we found it very difficult to connect with the people and places we loved the most.

Now that I have officially resigned from the Department of State, I am using this website as a platform to more freely document how we navigate the world as a queer, interracial, international family.

I want to use this site to explore what makes us happy, and to offer funny and interesting stories about our travels, friendly life lessons and access to really cool products and services that help us lead a happier, more fulfilling life.
