Please Attend the Black Queer Townhall June 20 and June 21 from 6:30-8pm

Hey y’all,

Happy Pride! I am so excited to spread the word about the “Black Queer Townhall,” a three day catharsis in conjunction with GLAAD and NYCPride for the black queer community completely free and available to the public every day this weekend.

This makes me so happy that I want to cry because it is a reflection of black queer excellence and black queer truth. In 2020, a year marked by a veritable assault on the very concepts of liberty and freedom and liberty for all black lives, this townhall, begun by none other than black trans drag queen “Peppermint” and black drag queen “Bob the Drag Queen” has turned into the much needed clarion call to the hyper marginalized communities of America to come together, love up on each other, and recognize that despite all of the many obstacles we face, we shall indeed overcome.

I have been writing all month about black queer excellence. Now, you can actually see it and support it!

I urge you to take time out of your day and watch it and financially support it. It includes performances, panels and speeches that you don’t want to miss.

Please visit BLACKQUEERTOWNHALL.ORG for more information.

Yours always,

The Trendy One
