Happy Thanksgiving from Cabo Verde

Dear family and friends,

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year has been especially tough, but I would be remiss if I didn’t take a moment to give thanks.

I want to first give a special thanks to all of you, my family and friends, for checking in on us and making sure that we are okay. It is especially difficult being away from home during the holidays, but I am consoled by the prospect of joyous reunions in the year to come. You can rest assured that the second Ms. Rona finally bites the dust, Bae and I will be in a city near you!

Speaking of my beautiful husband, I am humbled that this beautiful, intelligent human being still manages to love me so fiercely despite my flaws. We have been through a lot, but we are coming out on the other side of this crisis stronger and happier than ever. And for that, I am eternally grateful!

With that, I hope that you all have a fantastic day. Pass on a little joy to a stranger. Call someone long forgotten and tell them you love them. Give back to your community and love up on the ones you’re with. And if you need me … I’ll be there for you.
