One More Step Closer to Paradise

One More Step Closer to Paradise

I’m back, beautiful people!

I know you’ve missed me, but it is summertime in Germany and I was in desperate need of a break from everything: my job, podcasting, blogging . . . Just to give myself, my body and my spirit the time and space to reset.

And it has been glorious. Although I miss air conditioning, I am thrilled to be in a place where we can actually walk comfortably down the street, eat at a restaurant, or enjoy an evening of skinny dipping under the stars without fear that either the police or the Rona are gonna get me.

We have taken full advantage of our freedom of movement here in Germany, and decided to visit my former host family in Stuttgart down south, arguably, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The land of a thousand castles, Bae and I walked up not one but two mountains high above the clouds for the chance to visit some of the most marvelous medieval fortresses known to the modern world.

We first went to “Burg Teck” in the city of Kirchheim am Teck to be models for a new eyewear campaign (Pictures and campaign forthcoming). Now, I’m not completely out of shape, but when I tell you that I. Was. Not. Ready. To walk a mile straight into the air and then smize. Not to be outdone, my host parents took us hiking up to Castle Hohenzollern where we found out that we would not even be allowed in because we didn’t have tickets. Normally, entry is free but thanks to Ms. Rona’s ol’ hateful ass, they now charge 16 euros per person and only allow so many visitors per hour. Like Elsa, we decided to let it go, but not before we got at least one good picture outside the castle gates.

Diets be damned, we have eaten our weight in currywurst, Doener and schnitzel as our blood now runs gold from drinking perhaps a bit too much of the amber ale.

And babies! There are so many new little people in the world that it almost made me forgot how shitty 2020 has been. That new baby smell is intoxicating and now my ovaries are in overdrive . . . But y’all are gonna have to wait a few more years for the Baby Knox-Brown.

Alas, every good thing must come to an end, but only to allow for the dawning of another beginning.

And that new beginning is an island paradise where Bae and I eagerly await to host you in your new home away from home. We are T minus 2 weeks and counting until we officially move to Praia, Cape Verde, and although parting is bitter-sweet, we are ready to finally not be living out of suitcases.

Now, we still have to take (another) coronavirus test before we are allowed to get on the plane, and once we land, we will have to quarantine for two weeks in either a hotel or airbnb.

But after that, it should be smooth sailing, but only time will tell.

Speaking of time, I will soon announce the winners of the Schwarz Watches Campaign. Thanks to all of you who subscribed to my newsletter, and please Stay tuned for more exciting opportunities to win cool prizes in the future!

Peace and blessings to all of you,

. . . The trendy one
