Check out this children’s book about two black brothers

My husband and I are slowly but surely putting the puzzle pieces in place to start the adoption process. And though we are overjoyed at the prospect of welcoming a beautiful little bundle of joy into our home, I have a fair bit of anxiety in terms of how to best teach our child(ren) lessons that will keep them safe and prepare them for a world that isn’t always kind to people of color.

How do we share our stories? I’ve been trying (and failing) to find children’s books that center the experience of black children. And though I’ve found a few, there simply aren’t enough. So you can, of course, imagine my joy meeting Masha Jack at a baby christening the other day. She is an author of multiple books, but just started a series depicting the love between twin boys and their misadventures.

Thankfully, this book is just the first of many, but she needs your support. Please visit her website (link here) and buy your copy of “the Adventures of Win and Wil: the Birthday Celebration” today.

Peace and love,
